SMARTER Goal: A Step Closer To Your GoalPage: 1 | 2 I’ve explained the first five steps of SMARTER goal. Here are the other two steps: E stands for ecology test. Your goal must pass the ecology test. You have to test your goal to see if it is ecologically sound. Test your goals against 6 aspects of your life. If you were to achieve your goal:
These are important questions to answer because if you set and achieve goals, and achieve them for the sake of the goals, then at the end of your life, just before you go, you’re going to look at your life and say, “Aaaaaah! I have everything that I wished for, everything money can buy… but is that all there is to life? Because I can’t take them where I’m going. I have to leave all of them behind. I have worked so hard and none of them are going to go with me.” So if you delude yourself by thinking that having by having things around you, your life becomes better, you are mistaken. If your ecology test does not allow you to serve your life purpose, then those goals that you set will mean nothing one day. Goals are the fuel for you move your life purpose. Goals are what makes you embark upon the journey of your life purpose. That’s why you need the goals. R stands for reasons why you want this goal. Whether you achieve this goal or not may depend on just this reason. Remember… the how is decided by a power greater than you. What will determine whether you will achieve the “what” or not depends on the “why”. The reasons. If you have enough reasons to build something, you can do anything! Because when you are hit by obstacles, only the reasons will take you through. Go up the obstacle, go under the obstacle, side of the obstacle, by the obstacle, bash through the obstacle. Only the strength of your reasons can do that. That is what SMARTER goal is all about. I hope this helps take you a step further to realizing your life purpose and serving mankind. Page: 1 | 2 Links:
